Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God relevant
yesterday, today and tomorrow.
We believe the Bible was written for our good, for our faith and behaviour in
this world and for understanding of our place in the eternal Plan of God. (1)
We believe in one God who created heaven and earth. (2)
We believe God is at once the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (3)
We believe God made man in His own image, (spirit, soul and body). (4)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. (5)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was: Born of a virgin (6), By
the Holy Spirit (7), He was crucified (8), He
died (9), He was buried (10), He rose again
(11) and that He ascended to heaven (12).
We believe Jesus is first born from the dead. (13)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for sin so that we were no
longer separated from God. (14)
We believe in the atoning power of the blood of the Lord Jesus for the
redemption of all mankind and that the blood can be applied and works today. (15)
We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus, in his birth, death, resurrection by
the power of Almighty God and confession of this truth brings man to salvation.
We believe that the Lord Jesus is alive and ministering in the earth today
through the work of the Holy Ghost to save, teach, heal and deliver the sons of
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate experience from
salvation and the baptism of repentance. We believe the evidence is seen in the
speaking of other tongues and other gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in 1 Cor. 12:1-11 and that they are in operation in the church
We believe in the soon visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to gather His
church to save them from the judgment/wrath to come and that we will live with
Him forever. (19)

15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to
make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the
man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the
seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh
day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and
sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created
1 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He
was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without
Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the
light of men.
20 "I do not
pray for these alone, but also for those who [a]will believe in Me through
their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in
You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent
Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one
just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect
in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them
as You have loved Me.
"Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am,
that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before
the foundation of the world.
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the
bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you
were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one
faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all,
who is above all, and through all, and in [a]you all.
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and
built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught,
abounding [a]in it with thanksgiving.
Beware lest anyone [b]cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according
to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and
not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead

cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom
I am well pleased."
35 And the angel
answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of
the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be
born will be called the Son of God.
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call
His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

18 Now the birth
of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and
Jesus in the center.
Matthew 27:37 & 38<37 And
they put up over His head the accusation written against Him:

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him,
and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 [a]Then
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
they divided His garments and cast lots.
Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, [a]and thus it was necessary for the
Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing
His head, He gave up His spirit.
50 And Jesus
cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn
out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before.
they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices,
as the custom of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where He was
crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had
yet been laid. 42 So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation
Day, for the tomb was nearby.
Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and laid it
in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone
against the door of the tomb, and departed.
Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and
looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the
head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they
said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?"
She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where
they have laid Him."
Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and
did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you
weeping? Whom are you seeking?"
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him
away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."
Jesus said to her, "Mary!"
turned and said to [a]Him, "Rabboni!" (which is to
Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it
happened, as they were [a]greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men
stood by them in shining garments. 5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their
faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the
dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was
still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of
sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."
5 But the
angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you
seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
10 For You
will not leave my soul in [a]Sheol,
You allow Your Holy One to [b]see corruption.
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a
cloud received Him out of their sight.
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and
sat down at the right hand of God.
Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and
carried up into heaven.

Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should
be [a]purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better
sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with
hands, which are [b]copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear
in the presence of God for us;

the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks
better things than that of Abel.
11 And they
overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and
they did not love their lives to the death.

you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one

Therefore being exalted [a]to the right hand of God, and having received from
the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see
I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with
water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for
if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will
send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and
of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of
judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all
truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He

will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
"But when the [a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born[a] of a woman, born under the
law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption as sons.
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your
hearts, crying out, [b]"Abba, Father!" 7 Therefore you are
no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir [c]of God [d]through Christ.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is
mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [a]and fire.
for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy

asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"
7 And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the
Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the
Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. 2 And
suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then
there appeared to them b]divided tongues, as of fire,
and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the
Spirit gave them utterance.
"But when the [a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s
gift. 8 Therefore He says:
He ascended on high,
led captivity captive,
gave gifts to men."
(Now this, "He ascended"—what does it mean but that He also [a]first descended
into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who
ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and
some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of
ministry, for the [b]edifying of the body of Christ,
Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who
heard the word. 45 And [a]those of the circumcision who believed were
astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy
Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard
them speak with tongues and magnify God.
Peter answered, 47 "Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be
baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" 48 And
he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked
him to stay a few days.
as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the
beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He
said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized
with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift
as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was
I that I could withstand God?"
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty
in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way
of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the
things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 So he began to
speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took
him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the
upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them,
"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
they said to him, "We have
not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?"
they said, "Into John’s baptism."
Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the
people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And
when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke
with tongues and prophesied. 7 Now the men were about twelve in all.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper, that He may
abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with
you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge
you, brethren, that you increase more and more;
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with
the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead
in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we
shall always be with the Lord.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes
of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds
of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a
great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [a]elect from the
four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?
This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so
come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
I tell you a [a]mystery: We shall not all
sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and
the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
